Sunday saunter in the forests we love

Heartwood hosts two gatherings each year. In the spring we meet over the Memorial Day holiday weekend for the annual Forest Council, where we focus on the work we do and prepare ourselves for the year ahead. IN the fall we gather to celebrate our victories, mourn our losses, refresh our spirits, and renew our friendships at the place where Heartwood was founded. Join us for a weekend of camaraderie and community building at the Lazy Black Bear, just south of Paoli, IN. We will enjoy wholesome farm-to-table food, lovingly prepared by Chef Carla Gresham and a team of volunteers, and we will make our own music around the campfire as we spend the weekend regenerating ourselves and the Heartwood community of activists. The weekend will feature the traditional Heartwood Circle and the agenda will allow plenty of time for the kind of conversation that can't happen over email.
This weekend is geared towards recruiting new coordinating council members, building the capacity of the organization, and preparing for the challenges of the future that we face today.
